We called a Trump TACO last week. Weirdly no mention of Mr. Market but maybe he was the elephant in the room:
🚨🇺🇸🇮🇷 I spent today on calls with sources on both sides of this war… Trump came within one last-minute “no” of restarting it
Here’s the rest of what they told me…
Trump sat in the Situation Room two days running with strikes fully staged.
Embassies were packing, Iraq closed its airspace, even Cyprus was calling around.
He walked out and said NOT YET.
The White House is now three camps: Rubio and Bessent want the blockade and the status quo, Vance and Witkoff want a deal, and CENTCOM’s commander leads the finish-it camp, which is losing its pull.
Swapping Susie Wiles for Stephen Miller, who pitched the job on winding the war down, is one of the clearest signs yet.
The talks were the real story. This morning Bloomberg had a breakthrough close.
By afternoon, two sources on opposite sides of the table told me within ten minutes of each other that it had collapsed.
The Qataris are furious at Iranian stubbornness, and the sticking point is sequencing: sanctions can come back tomorrow, but uranium shipped abroad and inspectors inside bombed sites can’t be undone, so Tehran won’t move first.
Make no mistake, Trump calls the shots here, not Netanyahu… and today he stepped back from the edge.
He’ll be asked again soon… what matters is who’s in the room when he is.

BREAKING: Iran has now begun distributing iodine tablets to residents living near nuclear facilities—including the heavily fortified Pickaxe Mountain complex—as Tehran prepares for the possibility of radioactive fallout from a U.S. strike, per The Times.
An Iranian Health Ministry official confirmed the distribution, saying: “Yes, we are distributing iodine. During every war, we have tried to distribute it within a two-to-three-kilometre radius of nuclear facilities. Trump can no longer be trusted. He may go through with this crime.” The tablets are being handed out alongside survival advice to communities near atomic sites, with particular attention to Pickaxe Mountain.

Erm, if they are to be put to use immediately, this transfer would seem to require Russians to operate them:
BREAKING: Russia and Iran are in direct talks over the transfer of advanced S-400 air-defense systems to Tehran, alongside ongoing Russian shipments of drone components and MANPADS, per The Telegraph.
SNSC Secretary Mohsen Rezaei reportedly delivered the S-400 request directly to Putin during Thursday’s Kremlin meeting, carrying a personal letter from Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei.
The broader package includes ongoing shipments of fiber-optic drone components and Verba MANPADS—part of a €495 million arms contract signed in December 2025 for 500 launchers and 2,500 missiles. The report directly contradicts Trump’s public claim that Russia is providing “no help” to Iran.

Susie Wiles and her close aide were screamed at and kicked out of the Oval Office by President Trump last night, according to Real America’s Voice correspondent Neil McCabe. This was after the President became aware of Susie’s efforts to scapegoat Pete Hegseth for the midterm catastrophe and her leaking info about him to the media.
Presidential Personnel Office (PPO) Deputy Director Morgan DeWitt-Snow was also shouted at by Trump and followed Susie Wiles out of the Oval. Morgan controls staffing for the Trump administration.
Morgan DeWitt-Snow is a Susie Wiles loyalist and donated to Mike Pence’s failed 2024 presidential campaign.
